$1=Priceless Moments
I love finding fun things for Evy in the $1 bins at Target. For Halloween they have glow wands and I just knew Evy would love playing with a wand. Chad took Evy to the park and when they came home it was almost dark. We turned the lights off in the playroom and gave Evy her new wand.
I love her surprise faces

Future Soccer Star
ER
We had our first visit to the ER this weekend. On Friday night I was shoe shopping and Chad and Evy were roaming the store. Evy was running towards me, tripped, and fell face first into a bench. She busted her nose and the inside of her top lip. She was crying and bleeding everywhere. I've heard before that head or facial wounds bleed a lot so I was a little hesitant on us needing to go to the ER. But after many, many minutes Evy continued to cry and was inconsolable. So I began to worry that something else could have been wrong other than the cut inside her lip. So we headed to the ER, which was just a few minutes away.
We got right in to see the triage nurse. Evy was terrified of them touching her and was crying so hard she threw up all over herself and me. So now we are covered in blood and vomit...and I was wearing a new outfit...nice! They then led us to a private room and the doc came in soon after. He checked her head and then looked inside her mouth and said she would not need stitches...PTL! At this point Evy had finally settled down and was just exhausted. The doc said her lip would be pretty swollen so we needed to give her sugar-free popsicles to decrease the swelling.
Once we got home we gave Evy tylenol, put her in the bath, gave her a popsicle, and after a few minutes she was swimming around in the tub as if nothing had happened. The next few days Evy was limited on what she could eat because certain things would hurt the cut. But after a couple of days Evy's lip was no longer swollen and after a week she finally allowed us to touch her mouth and nose.
The red marks on and under her nose are where she hit the bench

Pinterest Project Fun
I'm sure most of you have heard of Pinterest. I have found some fun activities to begin doing with Evy. I have done two activities with her already and she has loved them! The first one was freezing ice cubes that had food coloring in them and letting Evy chase them in the bath tub. What was even more fun for her was to eat the ice cubes...which of course turned her mouth all crazy kinds of colors. The bath water turned a purple-ish/blue-ish color so we had to scrub Evy hard to keep her from being blue-ish/purple.
Then I made her a box with holes cut out of the top and bought some bright colored pom poms for her to push through the holes. She loves this new "toy" and plays with it quite often. Not too shabby for maybe $4! Evy already has excellent fine motor skills, but this definitely helps improve those skills.

MIA
I know I have neglected the blogging world for over a month now. No, nothing is wrong. We've just had a lot going on. I've been working on a few projects at the house and our computer has been acting up. I think I've fixed our computer so check back soon for more posts. I have a ton of pictures from the last couple of months so I'm anxious to share those with you.
