Happy Ten Months!
Dear Evy,
You are such a joy to our lives and we continue to delight in you! You are so much fun and bring us so much entertainment that time flies by. We have had a busy month and you have learned several new things.
~You weigh about 21 pounds and you are a little over 29 inches long~
~You are already in 12 month clothes! Thanks to your cousin Mallory you have a brand new wardrobe~
~Your hair changes between light brown and brown and in the sun there seems to be some red color to your hair~
~Your eyes are brown with specks of green. And, your eyes are very expressive~
~You are still in size 3 diapers, but you are about ready to wear size 4~
~You take great naps and sleep through the night on most nights~
~You are such a happy baby! This is what so many people say about you. We love it when we hear you talking in the mornings when you wake up. You rarely wake up unhappy {which helps Momma be more of a morning person}~
~You are a talker and just recently you have been having conversations with us~
~Your favorite words are "Momma," "Da" or "Dadda", "Hi," "Hidy" {a mix of "Howdy" and "Hi"}, "No" {yes, Momma knows she uses that word too much}, and "Duck". We are working on "Love ya," "baba" {bottle}, "froggy" {paci}, and "One" {since you are about to be one}. You seem to be a quick learner and really try to work on saying these words~
~Anytime you see a telephone, an animal, or your stuffed animals you begin saying "Hi". The more you say it the higher your voice gets to a point that it will crack. We love your sweet voice~
~Listening to music, singing, and dancing seems to be your favorite activities. If you hear music {even random noises} you will begin to dance. All we really have to do now is say "dance" and you will start to dance. You love to sing along to the radio. Your Sunday School teachers tell us every Sunday how much you enjoy music time~
~You love your sugars {kisses}. We'll say "give me sugars" and usually you will lean your forehead towards us to give you kisses. Sometimes you will actually give us sugars...which is a special, slobbery treat~
~You are a hearty eater and love your solid foods. We just began to give you chicken and you seem to like it a lot. You still love sweet potatoes though~
~You still do not have any teeth {which is crazy to us because we think you've been teething for months and months now}~
~You and momma got snowed in for a total of 5 days this past month. You went outside a couple of times but it was too cold for you to enjoy it~
~You and momma spent a weekend with your Uncle Ramsay, Aunt Meagan, and Cousin Mallory and had so much fun playing with Mallory! You two really enjoyed playing in Mallory's tunnel~
~You also spent a total of 5 nights with your Grandpa and Grandma. You didn't seem to miss us much but we sure missed you. Your PawPaw and NayNay are anxious to keep you at their house, so you will be staying a couple of days with them soon~
~You just learned how to roll a ball and will sit across from someone and roll the ball back and forth~
~You prefer to stand up and will climb anything just to stand. You will stand by yourself for a few seconds then sit down~
~We celebrated our first Valentine's Day as a family. Dadda brought a heart shaped balloon home for you and you got a new book, a stuffed giraffe, and a heart shaped pillow. Valentine's Day has a whole new meaning for us since you came into our world~
We can hardly believe you will be {one} in two months! We are having a blast as your parents. We love you so much and cannot wait to see what you will accomplish this next month.

{embrace} the camera: february 10th
Evy found one of her Valentine's Day gifts yesterday {probably hiding it behind the door that she loves to close wasn't the best idea}. Since we were snowed in I decided we needed to break it out and play. Evy LOVED crawling through the tunnel and had even more fun when I crawled after her.
{excuse my appearance...it was a snow day}

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
It was so fun to wake up to almost 3 inches of snow! It continued to lightly snow all morning. When Evy woke up from her nap we went outside to "play" in the snow. I put Evy down in the snow and she was fine for a couple of minutes. Then she stuck her hand in the snow and was still fine for a minute. Then it started getting cold and she indicated {by crying} that it was time to go inside and get warm.
Working Hard...
Or hardly working?!?
Evy and I have been snowed in for 4 days this week. I've loved it because it has given me lots of time to spend with my Love Bug. I have attempted to do some work from home but as soon as I get on the computer Evy is climbing into my lap to "type". I remembered I still had my old laptop in the closet so I got it out for Evy to "work" on. She loved it!
{getting to work}
{typing her report}
{all done...I should have dusted it off for her}
One thing I've discovered this week is to savor this time! After the first 2 days all I could think about was how much work I needed to do. However, it dawned on me that this is time God has given me to spend quality time with Evy. Everyone could use some snow days in our lives to slow us down and remember what is truly important. If you have been snowed in, I hope you have been able to enjoy it as much as we have.
